On Nov.29 out of the blue I collapsed. I was taken to the hospital where I was diagnosed with chronic pericarditis with effusion. Fluid building around my heart and enlarged heart along with a infection of the pericardiem(heart covering) I stayed in Icu for a week and went home with alot of medicine. On Dec.15 I was taken back to acute care for another week. I wanted to come home for Xmas with my grandkids. I have undergone several echocardiograms and went again Tuesday only to be told there is no change. Now they are watching the heart wall for rigidity. After being filled this long with fluid it can deteriorate and require surgery to remove the entire lining of my heart. It is very risky. I already have a pacemaker for 9 years. I stay fatigued with chest pain and shortness of breath. They are avoiding surgery as I had 8 actual surgeries where I was cut on in 2009 and am weakened from all the trauma. If you find a minute. Say a prayer for me. Thanks!!!

I went to cardiologist today. All fluid gone from heart. Cholestrol normal. Blood pressure normal. Weight down from 189 to 166. Just have to pray it does not come back, usually does within 6 mos. and have to watch heart wall for hardening. if this occurs I will have to have open heart surgery to remove pericardiem. My dad died Jan.29 from This same heart disease. He was 75 yrs. old. we buried him on his 76th birthday!
