It sounded like a good idea at the time.

I had read an article about these super-cool magnetic bumper stickers, CAUTION NEW DRIVER, and thought to myself. What a brilliant idea! Whenever I'm having my newly permitted child practice driving skills, I'll just slap it onto the back of the ol' van. Oh my gosh, that is so incredibly sad, Joanna! At church on Sunday, our drama group did a skit on showing love specifically to the "new guy"--they used a cashier at a grocery store as the example. It really hit home because it reminded me of this whole rush-around thing as well. We just need to remember what it's like, eh? Thanks for stopping by my blog! :o)

Sad but so very true, Holly. There just seems to be this general attitude that they are the only person on the road, and this general attitude of rushing everywhere, actually got a student killed in my town. She was walking across the road to get on her bus, and a 66 year old woman - go figure - pulled out from behind the bus and hit her. It just seems to be a sad reflection of our society. Like you, I hope that things will eventually change, but..............
