When I read this story I literally laughed out loud.

Banning the dictionary? Really?

Let me start by saying, I'm all for keeping things age appropriate. When our kids were younger, we were some of those weird parents who didn't let their kids watch PG movies until the age of 9 and PG-13 movies until they actually were thirteen (and even then some got a thumbs-down vote from us). This is just unbelievable. I agree that this smells like what China would do. Given free and open information, people have to have an independent mind and be able to control and choose to do the right thing. Besides, it is impossible to filter out everything that is deemed as "bad". I agree that young children needs guidance from parents but that doesn't mean filtering it out completely. Sometimes, knowledge, self-control and realization of one-self is what makes people grow up.

OMG!! I thought our country had gotten past this kind of nonsense - let alone unconstitutional. They must think they're living in China. If I were a parent of that school, boy oh boy would I be making a very loud stink! Thank you for sharing. I shared this on Facebook, too.
