Hi all,
To save money and get good deals, I usually do these things:
- spend time to do research online, compare prices and review product feedback
- find online or mail in coupons
- buy things in bulk
- use credit cards that have cash back program
- auto deposit money into savings before spending
- tally income vs expense on a monthly basis so that I know the average monthly spending and saving
I have more but these are some of the basics...
What are your tips?

Well... I tell you what. Being unemployed makes a person very thrifty, but one thing that I do - and have done since my kids were babies, is to shop at a re-sale clothing store. Here, we have one for children and one for teens. It saves an immense amount of money. This summer, I started shopping at a women's re-sale shop for myself. I found some really nice designer things that I would have paid $100's of dollars for if I had even bought them on sale at a regular department store.
Hi Joanna,
I think this is a good idea. Which re-sale store(s) do you recommend? I mean an online version of that is eBay and Craigslist. I usually find a lot of good deals there too!
