Husbands who sit on the opposite side of the aisle politically. I'm and Dem and my husband is an Independent, leaning right. Which way does your husband lean?
I think that whatever party is in power, the supporters are more quiet. When Bush was in office, the leftwingers were a little bit noisier, but even so, not like the far right is now. Actually, I prefer that liberals conduct themselves in a more sophisticated way, though. That way, it doesn't give the far right any ammunition. My problem is that when right wing lies come out, they are blown apart in the left wing news media, but not in the mainstream media, which most people watch.

I agree. However, since Obama was elected, I think Liberals are more complacent and don't feel the need to express their concerns on issues troubling them, as they did during the Bush years, because there's a Democrat in the White House. I know I've been guilty of it.
Well, he pays attention to what's going on, but he just doesn't get into discussing it all. Just the way he is.
I do think that liberals tend to be more quiet, but at the same time, I don't want them getting goofy like extreme rightwingers, either. I think liberals speak their minds in more educated ways, which I think is better, especially when up against crazy lies being spread.

Thanks for joining, Joanna.
The "I don't care" attitude of liberals is giving the right an edge.

My fiance tends to be a centrist, but at times he leans more liberal - like me. My biggest frustration is that he doesn't particularly like to discuss politics. Most of the time he says, "I don't care." Drives me nuts!!
