Okay, just an update, I have gone to the gym last night doing 40 minutes of running on the treadmill. I thought that the gym will be pretty empty due to the holidays but surprisingly found that it is still quite packed with people. There are plenty of people who are very determined and persistent in their exercising routines. This is one of the reasons why I like going to the gym or join exercise classes because it is much more fun to do exercise with other people who have the same goal!
Keep us posted with your progress!

I'm in Meagan, and I too want to be accountable. Thanks for the heads up Joanna.
I just finished my first day of P90X. It's intense, I was about to get through about half of what they were doing... but I showed up and did my best.
This is an every day commitment, so I challenge each of you to move today. Get up and do something!
Good timing Ivy! I am back on the regular routine track. Although it may not be at the intensity that I like, I am trying to walk, stretch, strengthen and move every day. Today I was able to get in 25 minutes on the treadmill at 5 % incline and then I did some straight and side planks and then some back extensions. I have heard so many people talk about this P90X thing. What exactly is it?

Good morning ladies. Ivy, I know you are diligent (and sore) with your new program and I want to encourage you to KEEP IT UP!!
I am dressed in work-out clothes (what I do in the morning to "earn" my shower) I have to take my middle daughter to a spring hockey practice, and I am going to walk while she plays. Then some yoga poses and planks before the right to rinse.
Joanna...what are you doing this weekend?
Hello all...
Well, I have walked for at least half an hour every day for the last three days. I am going walking a little later this morning with a neighbor. I need to start adding some strengthening, so I want to do some planks, side planks and lift my arms a little this afternoon.
Enjoy your Easter weekend...and keep on moving!!
Hi Meagan and all!
Sorry I have been away for so long! Ever since I found that I am pregnant, things have been quite different and my exercise routine is kinda messed up:( This is my first pregnancy and I didn't really know what is the right type of exercise for me. At first when I found out about my pregnancy, I pretty much stopped my exercise routine because my step class was probably too intense for it. However, luckily, I later learned that prenatal yoga and just simple walking can help my body stay in shape and healthy. I am due in April and over the past few months, I have been doing exercise on and off but probably not frequent enough. This is partly due to a general level of increased tiredness and moodiness. Recently, I went for my regular OB checkup and was told that I should now watch out for my weight gain! At this point, I am kinda nervous about being too big but I am also worried that eating less may affect the baby. It is difficult!
To cope with this situation, I have devised a new exercise regimen that I want to see if you can help keep me accountable! It is walking for around 30 mins everyday (on the treadmill) and doing prenatal yoga once every week. Please keep me accountable until I give birth! (April 6)!
Also, let me know how you girls are doing regarding your fitness routine!
Thanks everyone!
Joanna
Joanna,
Your request could not be better timed. I have needed to get focused in my routines...my exercise, my writing and my housework routines. I think the 30-minute walking a day is a great idea. I also recently won a month-long unlimited yoga certificate, and I want to do that as a kickstart to my yoga routine.
So today is Wednesday, February 16th...let's both report back tonight when we walked, where we walked and how we felt.
I look forward to your update tonight!

Hi Meagan! It is nice to be able to connect again! I am able to stick to my regimen so far. Today, I went to 24 hour fitness and walked on the treadmill (with varying speed and incline) for around 30 mins. I have heard from my yoga instructor that I am not supposed to walk for too long (like an hour) because the repetitive motion of the pelvic joint can hurt it. I guess the pelvic bone is loosened up during pregnancy and it is more prone to injury. I did try walking for 50 mins last week and I did find my hip hurt quite a bit afterwards. This is why I am sticking to my 30 min a day routine for now.
How about you? Please keep us posted!

Not too bad today, but I do hope to get in more time tomorrow. I took our new puppy for a walk for 20 minutes, and I carried him for half of it. It wasn't too much wieghtlifting because he is only two pounds, but it was something. It is supposed to be nice again tomorrow, so I hope to go for a little longer walk.
Keep up the good work! If you are due in April, it is so important for you to keep moving as much as you can. The better shape you are in prior to delivery, the better off you are going to be.
Check back in tomorrow! :)
