Great job, Cyndi!
Joanna, congrats on the pregnancy!
I'm a huge fan of yoga, kickboxing, dancing, basically anything to keep me from getting bored and keep my muscles working without killing my joints!

Hi Cyndi,
Nice to meet you! That is a great accomplishment that you have lost so many pounds! Wonder what is your current exercise routine? I am doing yoga and speed walking on a treadmill these days as I am pregnant. Before pregnancy, I used to attend fitness club classes such as step, spinning and kickboxing...

Hi Everyone!

Newbie here!! :0) This group sounds great! I lost 40lbs at the beginning of 2009 through exercise and watching calories, but have since put 13 of it back on. I'm none too happy about it either!

Looking forward to participating in some challenges. :0) I just got back on my exercise program but I love to walk, bike, ride my motorcycle and play wii fit. :0)

Hope to get to know ya'll better!

Healthy Eating Tips by Dr. Bishop

With the every day challenges of life—heading to work, taking the kids to school, and doing the laundry, eating healthy can be an added stress. We hear from thousands of families who say picking up take-out from their local fast food restaurant is simply easier.

Wellspring, the leading provider of weight loss programs for children, teens, and families, offers these tips to get your family off to a healthy, stress free start.

Meal planning is a must; make a daily meal plan including breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner items. Many families take 20 minutes on Sunday nights to plan the meals for the week. Basically, take out the “thinking” throughout the week.

The weather is warming up, it's time to shake off the winter blues and those few extra pounds; the kids are no exception. But where do you start? Right here...

To kick off our kids' fitness week, Dr. Dolgoff, author of Red Light, Green Light, Eat Right, has generously contributed a wonderful article on;

Welcome Cara to the fitness and exercise group! Fitness and exercise so important! If we don't stay fit and live a healthy lifestyle, it is someday going to come back and haunt us! I encourage everyone to get on some kind of fitness routine and start living healthy!
Reminder: Meagan has kindly started an "Accountability Group" thread where we have been using it to keep each other accountable in our own fitness routines. It works for me, please join and try it out!

Who's been exercising lately?! I hope everyone! I actually have a difficult time NOT exercising. I hurt my knee in a dance class about 3 weeks ago and have found it really difficult to REST. I know it's important, but I love the way exercising makes me feel (besides the knee - wink wink)!

Hi Amada,
Consider joining our Accountability Group thread. Several of us are keeping each other accountable and staying on track of our exercise goals. It works for me:)
