Hi all,
Regarding toy safety, it is a major concern for many of us wives. There have been news about toy being dangerous for kids because of lead paint. There are other cases when the toy is not built up to safety standards, any thoughts or related experience you want to share?

You can take a look at this link http://www.kidsindanger.org/ for information about checking out consumer product safety pertaining to children, toys, products, and how to look up the info by state.
My mom bought my son some toys from Leap Frog. These are toys marketed for 6 months old and up.

When we saw some of the paint on the plastic being scratched off, we threw away them all.
Wow, the paint coming off is quite dangerous.. Is the paint easy to be scratched off? A 6 months old will put toys in their mouth... scary...

Thanks Evelyn for sharing this website! We should all check it out before we buy toys for our kids! The founder of this site has such a sad story about their own baby because of the faulty crib. I believe that we can minimize this, at least by keeping ourselves more informed!

I wonder whether the toys sold have undergone any safety testing? Are the required test or nice to have?
I have experienced that toys made of natural fabrics are the healthiest for kids. I am environment friendly mom this is why in my boutique you can find just natural linen items for kids, toys as well.

What is more, I think that kids up to 4 years at least should not play with plastic toys. Nowadays all these materials used for plastic toys are dangerous for our kids health. I am just for toys, made of natural fabrics!!!
