There is so much pain on my body today - headache, neck pain, shoulder pain, eye strain, noise in ear..you name it..

The neck and shoulder pain have been with me for quite some time and I've been seeing chiropractor. For some reasons the pain got worse. I asked the doctor why and he said "well..its like waking up a sleeping dog". Its been three weeks since the first session. The doctor better be right!

I have so much I want to accomplish this week - a clean todo list at work and a clean house! I hope the pain will go away tomorrow so I can be more productive.

Just want a "shouder to lean on"...thanks for this great group!

Oh honey, as if it's not hard enough to get motivated with an endless to-do list...

Are you taking anything for the pain, like Ibuprofen? I would suggest muscle relaxers, but that will make you tired (won't help get that list done).

Have you gone to your doctor to figure out a reason for the pain? Chiropractors are wonderful, but there may be a medical reason for what sounds like a lot of pain.

You'll be in my prayers this week! Just tackle that list one line at a time, and don't be afraid to delegate. You deserve the help and the chance to kick back for a few moments!

*Lots of hugs*

Ada,
I agree with Ivy. It sounds like you are in pain enough to warrant some pain killers and possibly a more extensive search into the cause of the pain. I too regularly visit a chiropractor, and it does take time to get completely adjusted, but there is no reason you should be suffering if you don't have to. A medical doctor may be able to help locate the cause of the problem and can prescribe an effective pain controller.

Take it a day at a time, and slowly chip away at those things you can do. What you don't feel like doing, can often wait to be done later.

Hang in there, and you are in my thoughts!
Thanks so much Ivy and Meagan. You ladies are so sweet!

Today my headache seems to be better but the rest of the pain still here. My neck/shoulder/back pain definitely come from the chiropractor because I didn't have them before. I think the rest of the pain is simply a cascading effect from not being able to sleep well due to the pain. Is it normal that you get pain from chiropractic treatment?

I try to limit the drug I take but I guess I will take some if the pain persists today. Will see how it goes. At least I feel better mentally now. Thanks ladies!
I will keep you in my prayers this week. Don't put too much pressure on yourself to accomplish your to-do list. Do your best and God will do the rest.
Hi Ada,
I think that you should go see a medical doctor instead of just going to the chiropractor. Sometimes, physical body pain can stem from some health issues and it should be dealt with at the root cause. Also, I think stress plays a big part in all that.
Also, I think doing some more exercise such as yoga, swimming and other low impact exercises may help. Exercise can help people de-stress.

I agree with joanna...Go see a docter. If it isnt getting any better then something else mat be going on. Ill keep you in my prayers and I hope all goes well for you. Get well!!!
Ada,
How are you feeling? I have not been able to get on the network for a while, but I am curious if you are on the mend? Did you get to a doctor? I didn't get to answer your question about chiropractic, and yes, you can sometimes initially have more pain as you are working through the needed adjustments. I personally am about the holistic approach. If chiropractic isn't working, pull in the resources of medical doctors too.

I'd love to hear an update!
