Get kids excited about thank you notes

Inspire those future writers!!!!!

I have a couple of tricks for thank you notes, the first is positive brain washing. 

 “My kids are the best at writing thank you notes.  I can’t believe how wonderful the handwriting has evolved. I love how you told grandma what you named your animal.”  well you get the idea.  

The second is we go to a web site where we design our thank you note cards.  They pick out their design, put their name on the front. Then we top it off with matching envelopes with the return address.  

For the younger kids have them draw a picture of anything they want.  

Mom type up a format for your younger one to fill in the blanks.  

Example.   Thank you for the __________.  I loved it.  From ___________

Take the two creations to a local printer and have them print the picture on the front of a piece of card stock and the thank you format on the inside.  

Online you can type up a thank you format on the unfolded cards.  I like vistaprint.com for these projects.  

Kinkos does great with the homemade card.
