In today’s world manners have gone away. There are some fun ways to introduce manners to kids. Then they can be the “most polite” kids. At our house we call this positive brain washing. For example “You are the most polite child I know, I love how you always say thank you to the waitress at the restaurant” little positive phases like this can get kids to do what you want long before other tactics. I hope ideas with some positive brain washing will get the job done, “You know your such a great mom your kids always say thank you.”

Permalink Reply by Healthy Mom on January 25, 2010 at 10:11am Before we even got married, I told my husband that the number #1 thing I wanted to teach my kids would be manners. It seems like no one has them these days, and that parents don't care about teaching kids manners as much as they used to. I was in a serious relationship with someone from Georgia at one time in my life, and the manners he had...amazing! Do you think people keep more with manners in the south, or that it just depends on the family?
