Network for Wives

A Community Where Wives Connect

I've been reluctant to post as so many are trying to make money with their blogs. Let's stop always thinking of "how can I make money off others," and become friends. We're inundated with pressure. Slow down, enjoy life and become more peaceful and caring.

Hi I see your point in this but it depends on the business too I guess. If Im not interested I dont bother to read on it but I think it is ok to put the knowledge out there just in case someone is interested. So I guess it doesnt bother me that much. I have my own business but it didnt bother me before either. Although the business I run is diferent I dont put the information out there to make money off of anyone...Not t all!! I actually do it to help..to show people a better way...and to change their life for the better. Not because I dont care but exactly the opposite...because I care too much. Although I keep my friendship separate from my business. I dont harrass anyone nor to a push it on anyone. If they ask me something that relates Ill tell them about it and I also will post it in my profile, however making friends just because I want to earn an income is not the way for me. I love to meet new people and talk to new people but definitely not because of anything else but just to be friends. So if someone made me feel that way I would be mad too because friendship should never be taken for granted like that!!!! I value friendship way to much to let anything become that.
I agree. Life is difficult and complicated as it is. I enjoy coming here to make friends and support each other.
I agree. I think that we should not forget, despite of our busy schedule and hard work, that it is often most enriching and fulfilling for women to connect, build friendships and support each other. Often times, all it takes is someone there to listen and people can often feel much better just by the act of sharing...

I go to these sights for friendship - not sales - as well. Kelly, though, makes a good point. She is sharing information that she is excited about and wants others to know about it, too. I get that, so as along as they just share with us and leave it at that, I don't have a problem with that. I have seen, on other sites, where the only time some women share is to push their product - that's not good, but I haven't experienced that here. This is a good place for sharing and communicating.
Lots of comments. I do share websites on writing or social networking tips or authors who are making presentations that I think will help my writer friends. I love to listen to experts on certain topics that interest me, and hopefully others will also learn something from it.

I think this is where I'm coming from as well. I love sharing my writing and love to promote others. The great thing about this Web 2.0 world is that we can all be top bloggers on the Web. I think it's so cool to be in an environment where we can promote each other and not have to compete. It's very refreshing!

I do hope to get to the point where I can make money from advertising on my blog, but that's really just a means to an end. I want to contribute financially, so I can spend the amount of time I'd like to on my blog. My dream is to tell stories for the rest of my life, through writing and through music. Like every writer, I want to reach people. I also want to meet new and interesting people not only to write about, but to learn from.

But I do realize that this isn't everyone's goal online. I do enjoy supporting the talented artists, crafters, designers, etc. who promote themselves online, so I try to share the love as much as possible. I would love to see us all living whatever dream it is we have. And I absolutely love the sense of honesty and caring in this community.

Thanks for starting this conversation. It really makes you think about your purpose online and what you'd like to see from your site (s).
