With the new year just starting, I want to sit down again and think about new year resolution.

First to recap last year, year 2011 was very special for our family as my daughter Sophia was born in 2011.  She is a bundle of joy and truly a blessing from God.  My life has changed dramatically since then and although there are tough times, but I wouldn't exchange my life now for anything else.  We spent our first Christmas together and was especially wonderful with my parents around for Christmas as well.  I couldn't ask for more for year 2011.

For year 2012, I certainly have made plans to do more.  With a full time job and also being a mom, I want to pursue something that I feel passionate about.  I have enrolled in an interior design course and want to see if this is something that I can do on the side.  I love interior decoration but find that I lack the knowledge about the basics of interior architecture and design.  Through this course, I hope to figure out whether I should continue down the path of pursuing a degree and a part time career in this field.  I feel excited about this decision and will keep you all updated with my progress.

For my family, this year will certainly be another wonderful year with my daughter.  She will learn to walk and talk more and I look forward to be able to bring her to church every week:)

What is your new year resolution?  Would love to hear from you!

Happy Year 2012!

It's exciting to take steps towards pursuing your passion, isn't it? That's what happened when I made the decision to pursue freelance writing as a career a few years ago--it just makes me feel more "alive." :o) I haven't made any New Year's Resolutions yet, I need to evaluate what I was able to accomplish in 2011 and go from there. I do know that I would like to increase my earnings from writing, though!

Hi Holly,

Oh, so you are now full time into freelance writing?  What were you doing before that and did you just change career by tranistioning into it or just change completely right away?  I am thinking about the same thing..  It is hard, especially having to step outside of my comfort zone:(   Nevertheless, I know at least I am passionate about interior design...
